The repops are much different than the originals.
Just to name a few differences... The repops are a stamping. The letters are raised and the coloring is different. The original plates had painted words with stamped "USA-1" lettering. The new plates are aluminum and the originals are a heavy gauge metal. You can buy the repops anywhere... Ground Up Restoration, Year One, Ebay... Hope this helps.
