Thanks for posting that colour chart Mark. If I am reading it correctly, it appears you got White or Black stripes on Mulsanne Blue if you ordered a Black vinyl top, Black stripes without the vinyl top.

Black stripes with no top.
Black stripes with black top.
White stripes with white top.

The ad says "Trans is the correct m22 and rear is 4:10 12 bolt."

But the option sheet says M21. How many other white lies are there?

That blue is my Fav too. Love to find that colour with black stripes with black interior in a 70 SS 396 Chevelle.

What I don't understand is how someone can have the original paperwork and stil restore the car incorrectly.

This car has so many things wrong with it that it would cost you a ton to make it correct. Just slapping on a couple of RS nose pieces does not make the car an RS either. It's missing all of the door, hood and fender trim, the taillights are incorrect for RS and on and on and on.

No rear bumper guards either that are a Z/28 required item.

Not enough space here to list all of the wrong stuff.

And what is up with that D & R Classics invoice mixed in with the other paperwork?? Hmmmmmmm.

Buyer beware.

Someone at www.nastyz28.com (THE 2nd Gen Camaro site) reports that Swimming With The Sharks (current seller) bought this SAME Blue Z-28 in June of 05......See below linked EBAY June ad with selling price of $18,300. See where previous seller claims cars was restored SIX years ago.....Now car was restored 18 months ago......
This buying and selling popular musclecars is obviously a lucrative occupation..........

I'm not the ultimate "numbers" kind of guy anymore and the car is still sharp. However, the price needs to reflect these inconsistancies and question marks.

You know, if a lot of these sellers would just be honest and "let the quality of the car" speak for itself it would probably sell for a decent price. I mentioned earlier that if I was in the market right now I would be very much interested in this car. However, from an ethical standpoint, I would not be able to deal with a seller like this. Another "thumbs up" to Bulletin Boards like this where people can get some usefull feedback.

You know, with all the RED FLAGS being waved over restamps and faked documentation, maybe I'm better off having a CE Block and no documentation, but some decent past history. That way there is no need to be ambiguous and just let the car stand on its own merits.
