Yeah, what about a 66 427/450HP Vette or an L88. Their 1/4 times were as quick or quicker than those listed.

That's one of the worst magazines I've ever read in my life. Absolutely terrible. The black '63 Bel Air lowrider takes up God only knows how many pages and there's even talk about 66-7 Novas being affordable....except the for the big block versions. Yeah, show me a factory Rat-motored 66-7 Nova. Don't even get me started on that Top Ten Fastest List.

However, in fairness, there is no really reliable data base from which to compile such a list. All tests were done differently. Biggest variable, especially for those on street tires (bias ply?) would be driver skill. Anyway, it is more fun to argue. Lynn |
