[ QUOTE ]
In fact, I will be painting mine soon. Here is a shot of my 70 Z28 original spare tire/rim, showing the color. ![]() I will drop it by my local PPG distributor and have them match it. There is also a rough like texture to it, simulating a cast mag wheel. Anyone know where you can get the trim rings? Paul [/ QUOTE ] I am not sure but the finish on this wheel looks too smooth to be original paint and the shade looks off.

If you get close it has a rough cast aluminum look to it. I will take some close up shots tomorrow.

Here are a few pictures of my spare thats never been mounted. It looks a little to gold color but I think that's because the flash went off. The inside if you look close you can see the overspray from the gray paint, showing the gray was painted last and NOT masked. Last pic is one mounted on the car note the correct lug nuts, embossed center cap, 5/8" valve stem hole (70 only up till about may, june) and valve stem extension and original tire.
