I'm chasing a 1970 green/green Z28 automatic that has been in the original owners hands since 1970. Nice car that I've not been able to secure yet. This green car reminds me of the one owner car.

Don't get me wrong, the paint on the car isn't bad, it just isn't completely original.

The story goes that back in '93 when the original owner decided that the car was looking a little tired, he pulled it out and had it appraised thinking that he might sell it. After rekindling his love affair with the car by getting it out and running again and realizing it was gaining some real value, he ended up doing more work to it and investing more $ than he originally intended and decided to keep it. I think we all know how that goes...

During it's brief "freshening" in '93 the car was treated to new carpet, door panels, a full exterior repaint and the original bumpers were removed and replated. I think some weatherstrip has been replaced, along with the tires. The spare in the trunk is a Coker repro that the owner purchased to match the 4 70's vintage Polyglas tires he was able to source for the car in the early 90's. I think it's been mentioned the Camaro was delivered new with Firestone Wide Oval RWL tires.

I don't mean to take anything away from the car, just saying it's too bad my buddy didn't find it back in '93..and leave it 100% untouched. It's definitely one of the nicest, unmolested, all #'s matching 2nd gen Camaros I've ever had the chance to get familiar with. I've never been a big fan of 2nd Gen Camaros but the more I get familiar with them the cooler I'm thinking they are.
