This steering wheel is an interesting story in itself. The original owner wanted the optional NK4 "4 spoke steering wheel" he saw in his December '70 issue of Motor Trend that showcased the new for '71 models. He must have mistook the NK2 "custom steering wheel" option for what he though he wanted, because the car was built and delivered with this rare NK2 "custom" wheel. The grain is perfect, since he removed it soon after taking delivery of the car and had the 4 spoke NK4 installed. Only 621 Camaros got this oddball NK2 "custom" wheel.
