BTW does anyone know anything about the green Yenko listed? It doesn't seem to go out and say directly that it's a Yenko Camaro. The text just seems to tip-toe around the subject saying "a genuine artifact from the Yenko era." Does anyone else find this very strange??????????

Steve I plan on going to the auction. I'd like to see the reaction to your car and the L-89. (Who knows maybe I can network and line up some new cars to do
) I can take some pics also, and post them. What time does this shin-dig start? Rich. |

I am waiting for my entry package and maybe I'll have an extra ticket for you. I'll know in the next couple days. |

Would the "Yenko ZL-1" be the rarest of all Yenkos? Should it should not really be called a "ZL-1" due to the fact it is not one of the 69 ZL-1 Camaros. Do they have documentation to authenticate the installation of the ZL-1 at Yenko?

Do they have documentation to authenticate the installation of the ZL-1 at Yenko? [/ QUOTE ] Pretty sure this car was on Ebay a couple of months ago. Yenko did not do the conversion. In the late 70's a guy bought the engine from the Yenko parts department (over the counter) and reportedly installed it in this Camaro. If I remember correctly, it has a six cyl VIN. I have no idea when the yenko stripe kit was put on. I don't want to get too nit picky, but find the following excerpt from the green Yenko listing to be somewhat amusing, as they have obviously confused the ZL1 history with the Yenko history. "Chevrolet reportedly ordered 50 Yenko Camaros for sale to the general public through select dealerships, and that number is rumored to have climbed to 69 before the year was over. Either way this is one rare muscle car that is sure to be a great investment while offering the pleasure of extreme performance." I would expect more from an auction like this. Lynn |

Steve, thanks for the ticket. (I'll buy you a sausage+pepper sandwich when I see you there
) Let me know what day your car is going across the block. I think the L-89 is going on Saturday. Thanks again, Rich. |

Steve:
I'll be there at the auction also, hanging out at the Aloha tent some of the time. Tommy is taking one of my cars, a 1970 Cuda 6pack convert. Hopefully we can meet, would be nice to put faces with persons from this site. Kelly |

Young Man,
I looked at your car on the web. It is magnificent. Awesome. Wow. I'll be by the display to take a closer look, too. You will do very well.
