71 Nova SS

1971 Nova SS. I have no paperwork on it but it is the matching numbers block and trans. Engine code is 1202CJG which is the 350 4V (270 hp) w/4 speed manual. SS is the only Nova that got the 270 hp engine in 1971.
Heads are 186’s and dated H 18 9 (August 19, 1969). Engine was rebuilt prior to me and I figure it has no more than 5000 miles on the rebuild.
Correct coded carb but it needs some work.
M20 numbers matching transmission.
Hurst Competition Plus shifter.
12 bolt rearend code CBS303DE… Eaton 3.31 posi built 303rd day of year in Buffalo.

Interior is excellent condition with black vinyl bench seat. One small rip in the headliner.
AM/FM radio installed but it does not work, have not checked it out to see if it is the radio or the wiring. Horn does not work either, always figured the 357 I carry would get the attention of some idiot pulling out in front of me.

This car came from Colorado where the previous owner did a partial restoration on it. Half quarters where installed and he said there were two small holes in the trunk which I have never found. Rest of the car was rust free. All new bushings throughout the front and back suspension.
The paint job was not very good so I pulled the front subframe off, detailed the engine compartment, cleaned the bottom of the car and sprayed it with GM Restoration black. Then had the car repainted a Daytona Yellow which was done about April 2004

This is a first week Dec. car so it is one of the first 71’s. GM had a strike in 1970 from Sept. 15, 1970 to Nov. 20, 1970

This needs to go to make room for a new project, so although I had it listed at $15k, I am dropping to $14K with need for new tires and wheels.
