CC1 35238 or 88 is the part # for a replacement case (1 main case in a box bought over the parts counter)... 661 case was used 2nd half of 1970 thru the 1974 model year... the 1 in the CC1 means it went into the parts system in 1971... The CC designation started with CC9 thru CC4 I have examples of all... The CT designation denotes a complete transmision assembly, also CT9 thru CT4... 1968 and older complete transmisions have just a P number date code without a VIN...
Without the number of grooves around the input or tooth counts of the big end of the cluster and the input gear can't tell if its a M-20 or 21 or 22... Hope this helps... Crash
