Default Re: realistic price for 70 Z-28

A year ago I bid on a 1970 Z28 project. It was all original (motor, trans, rear) but needed some new metal. 2 rear quarters and a deck lid. Had p-o-p and owner history and maybe some build sheets yet to be found. Cool color combo, Camaro Gold on black (no console M-21) with black stripes. Dash wood grain, custom seats, custom seat belts too, am/fm, p/s, p/b, remote mirror. I stopped bidding after $8,500. The car needed everything even the smog equit. After I priced out a lot of parts (with the help of you guys) I figured I was digging too deep. Whopps!

Place that car in 2005... How much does it go for?
High teens? Low twenties?
