Thanks, Dave, I,ve just seen pics. of the engine, definitely a big block. The person who owns it claims it is out of a late 60's SS Impala so your info. is most likely correct. I would think the horsepower would be 325 on this particular car/engine combo. Thanks again, Joe

I think on the pad date the suffix is IV which is a 67 big car 396 - 325.

This decodes as: T=Tonawanda assembled 12=December,1966 01=Day IV=Suffix used on Passenger (BIG) car w/396/325HP w/Auto Trans. from 1965-1968. Became a 350/300Hp small block in 1969 for Police use. That CON VIN of 7D142657,specifically calls it as being installed in the 42657th 1967 Passenger car unit,built at the Doraville Atlanta,Georgia Plant. Whatchya gonna do with it.. ![]() |
