I'm assuming the 11D is the date code which means it's either an early car(made in Nov 1968) or a very late car(made in Nov 1969). I'll guess it's a 68 made car with the 11D date so therefore it probably didn't have any X code on it.

People have been building fake SS cars for a long, long time. You need to go back and get more details from the car to hope to determine if it's a real one or not.
