After looking at it more carefully, I guess it more resembles the font of the other 3's in the tag. I magnified and inverted the colors and it still looks more like a 9 to me (Lordy, maybe it's time to get some specs!
 ) and I agree on the VIN/BDY correlation. The VINs in March ran from appx 615000 to 627000. Wouldn't 619xxx be closer to a late 03A or early 03B build or am I missing something (which would not be unusual  ) ?
