I had all this info written down last night so I do remember some of it. I remember the trim tag build week as 025, Feb. 5th week. Norwood. The cowl is off so I will see if I can find the VIN there.

Sounds like you're looking at the body number on the trim tag, not the VIN number on the door. You would need to give us the information from both the VIN tag and the trim tag to determine if it sounds fishy or not. A picture of the trim tag is helpful as well. If the trim tag is held on with screws, that's not a good sign. It could be that somebody swapped the driver's door from another car and it was a 6 cyl car. What is the VIN on the title?

The VIN is on the post not the door.

So here is the info;

VIN 123377N138511

Trim tag

02E D
67-12437 NOR 84206 Body
741-Z C-C Paint
2LG 3L
4P 5B

The hidden ID number under the cowl is 7N184434

Are some of these numbers supposed to match?

How do I attached a picture of the trim tag?

I see one important thing wrong so far. The last six
digits on the hidden partial Vin# under the cowl, should match the last six digits on the Vin#, located on the post. In this case, they don't. Let's take a look at the cowltag, and go from there.

What's the partial Vin# on the engine?

It is not a numbers matching car. I bought the car from my dad about a year ago and I never worried about transfering the title since it was not road worthy. Now that I am looking to sell it, he is looking for the title. For that reason I don't know what the VIN says on the title.
