This took me awhile to find and get altogether & is a real nice compliment next to the pump.
It's a vintage 1950-60's REVERE cement island lamp post w/tophat porcelain station light & spots.
I then hung my two vintage unrestored towel boxes w/Sunoco gas grade charts on em.
(courtesy of kwhizz fabricating me some metal straps so as to not drill into the post...THANK YOU KEN!)
It came out better then I expected..

I found this nice companion piece for the pump.
A vintage Sunoco station island battery display cart.
I was excited to add it to my collection,as it still had the original 60's era applied advertising decal, and was in very good shape overall.

Take note of the side slots in the pic below to the left & right of the decal..

I asked the seller if he had any batteries or anything else for it.He said,"No..but there was originally a cardboard advertising sign that slid in on top, right between those 2 slots"..He said it was parted away from this many years before he got it,but did believe it was out there somewhere in his vicinity.I thanked him, gave him my contact info should he come across it,and continued to search for it as the years went by.

I did eventually find a nice dry Vintage NOS 1940's display battery, that accents it quite well.

I then continued to find alot of Sunoco related memorabila & use the cart to display them on,as they look good on it.

....Then I came across something advertised for sale on another site 2 months ago and new exactly what it was.The sign is dated October of 1958.I couldn't reach for my wallet fast enough.
The seller found it in near Albany N.Y.,so it's possible it could be the actual one parted from it years ago.
I met up with him @ Peotones' Oil&Gas last month and my search had finally ended.
Just a neat lil find..

How it slips in..

Pics of the straps? The bracket for my towel dispenser attaches to the post with a worm gear clamp.

(So does the 'other one' I've been trying to snag for a couple of years now. )
