-------This red 66 is a beautiful car with issues. To me, both sets of rivets are wrong. The tach has the wrong redline. Am I wrong that I think that the twelve-bolt rear-end cover was installed upside down. As well, shouldnt the wheels be body-colored??? What havent I seen???...........Bill S

If it's a real 375hp it should have an idler pulley...

The car looks really cool, though

Bill's right, Diff cover upside down, if the front wheels are straight....then the wood wheel is upside down also.....wrong radio knobs.....looks like the turn signal mechanism has some issue also......looks like a nice throw together and should be in my garage......lol

Who wrote their ad copy????? Quote from their ad text: "In 1964, Chevrolet saw the need to replace its aging Chevy II." In 1964, the Chevy II was a whopping 2 years old so I doubt it was ready for the scrap heap. Agree with Bill, those Trim Tag and VIN tag rivets are way wrong. I would think it impossible for the diff cover be on upside down since the ring gear clearance is offset to one side

Yeah....you're right.....after looking at it again, it's installed correctly (Differential Cover)...the purpose of the embossed shape is to catch the lube thrown off the ring gear and channel it back to feed the bearings.......Geesh!!! I must have been really tired when I looked at the pic's yesterday........

a $40K car IF it looks as good in person as in photos. If it were a REAL 66 L-78, the price is a great deal IMO., but HIGHLY doubt it.. So many problems, doesn't appear to have Correct Square port Heads, No Idler pulley, No pics of teh deck stamp, No pics or response to all the extensive owner hx., 27K miles and they lost the all of the correct parts I guess.. No spiral Shocks, wrong exhaust, spash pan painted wrong, Wheels should be body color, camps are all wrong, Pedals are wrong, Radio Knobs wrong, hurtin lookin heater control, Dog dishes are painted incorrectly, exhaust manifold bolts are wrong, rear diff bolts, suffice to say, lots of detail mistakes.. and the VIN rivets are repro, TRIM TAG rivets from ACE HARDWARE

Good luck to anyone bidding.. Buyer Beware is all I can say.
