About 4 years ago (feb march of 2001)there was a Yellow COPO could have been a Yenko in an Alabama auto trader, somewhere near Birmingham price $10,000 advertised as 25k original miles 2 owner car with 427 4spd. From the B&W picture it looked to have the original small letter goodyear tires, Ralleys (would make it a 9537 car as well), cowl hood with 427 emblems , I called about the car...husband was out of town, told the wife I would come and camp out and wait for him, she said that I was the first caller and that she would tell him to call me first.

Long story short, he never called and I called over and over when I finally got in touch with him he had sold the car to the first person who looked at it. I posted the story in the fall of 2001 and someone had spotted the car at a drag strip in Alabama during the summer of 2001. Hope this helps.

I heard about the yellow *Yenko* running at some dragstrips in Alabama several years ago, and it intrigued me...but after asking several folks down that way it was determined the car was a clone.

Now, the yellow Yenko Camaro that folks keep seeing at Memphis Motorsports Park, THAT is a different story... ![]() |
