The weld nuts are for a console but both auto and stick used consoles. Are you saying the speedo cable does not cross the firewall and go down the pass side of the tunnel ?

What does the shifter hole look like?

The shifter hole is larger than a non console car. This is why there was room to move the shifter back.
Since my wife copped a plea to involuntary manslaughter, I won't have my new camera til next week. I will try to get a better pic of the fire wall.Back to the big question: Any Berger cars with an automatic? ![]() Andy

Pretty sure the shifter hole is the same for all four speed cars, console notwithstanding. What I was asking about is how the shifter hole was cut. The four speed holes were actually cut with a torch at the factory, so you can check to see if there are any remnants of that original hole. Many, like mine ended up getting cut much bigger by owners to accomodate a "super shifter".
