Default Re: Yenko ZL-1 motor

I looked at the motor last year. I guess he found a car to put it in. It belongs to a Lamborghini dealer in Dallas. He told me he pulled it out of a dilapidated Cobra kit car. I could not find the info he sent me on it. My recollection is that it is a non-dated Yenko boat or Can-AM motor from the 80's with no GM casting numbers on it. I believe it's rebuilt as a roller motor. At the time I was looking at the engine only he was asking 28,000.00. I don't think the polished Can-Am motors are nearly as popular as the cast aluminum ZL-1 motors with GM casting numbers. As a point of reference, earlier this year I purchased a complete cast aluminum ZL-1 engine with all GM casting numbers complete and correct from carb to oil pan with the correct mag pulse ignition. The engine had been rebuilt and dynoed by Reggie Jackson Performance. That engine cost me 23,000.00. Attached is a pic of the engine from the Lamborghini dealer. Hope this helps
