Great article. But when Randy states that the car still has the original block, I assume he is referring to the 427 short block, not the actual 396 that came from the factory. Did Yenko just order up 427 short block and transfer the heads, intake, carb, accessories from the 396? Or was it a complete 427 engine that was installed? Knowing how he was always looking to maximize profit, I would think it was a 427 short block. And how were these short blocks coded, "CE" from the factory? Just curious, there's not a lot of info on the 69 427 Novas.
