Leaving for Pa today. Time for the annual spring event: looking at miles of rusty parts! See ya there....

Well there sure was plenty of rusty parts!!! IMO Carlisle is becoming more of County Fair/Flea Market than a true collector car event. I really don't want to look at old bicycles, statues of horses(life size!) and wicker baskets!!!! I know they have to fill the spaces and thats what pays the rent but it seems to be watered down from what it once was. There was plenty of waxes and polish, anti-fatigue floor mats and hiney seats and the usual array of mystery lubes and powder coated accessories. I would pay $20.00 to get in if the show was strictly automotive related without the "carnival crap". Maybe if you feel as I do it would be appropriate to share are thoughts with the Carlisle folks. The one thing I noticed most was the serious lack of any original or desireable parts. They just were not there. Maybe they all sold on wed before I arrived but I doubt it. Hopefully the GM show in June will be more focused and have less of the clutter. Did run into some of my car buddies and fellow Nova fans so that was good. Hope everyone had a safe trip back.
