I can't remember where I saw it, but I've seen one on some car somewhere along the line, but the jar was inside the car, mounted over by the passenger door along the kick panel. I had no idea what the heck it was, so I asked the guy and he said it was a vaccum operated ashtray. And I thought he was crazy . . .
