I had asked Belair to post those so people could see what E-town looked like in '67 (when those were taken). That's when the pits were still on the right side of the track, mostly dirt, with a 2 lane road leading to staging.
Just a little nostalgia. Thanks Bob. Verne |

By the way, anyone have a guess what kind of wheels are on Franco's '62? I can't tell if they're slots or if they have some meat to them???

--------First,,,,,Could it be that those are chrome plated steel slots that were somewhat popular in the day?
--------Second,,,,,They sure didnt waste any material building that trailer did they? The minimalist theory in action, I guess --------Third,,,,,Really cool O9er!!!!!!!!!Bill S |

That trailer sure looks like my Bobcat front end loader factory trailer. It is dam sure heavy enought to hold that car up. Just a little short is all.
I agree those are chrome steel dish mags that were popular back then.

Joe,
Yeah, the pick-up is neat, but look in the background..........there are 3 taillights per side on that '61, so it's an Impala. And the roofline says 2-dr sedan. A VERY rare model in '61. Verne |
