The SYC Camaro the seller has sure is...something. To do all of that restoration work and then paint it in a color that no Yenko ever was with an interior no Yenko ever had seems awfully...dumb. Garnet Red with DLX interior sure is pretty, but guarantees you a never ending stream of conversations all ending with "No its not a clone its a REAL Yenko, just look at the VIN and this list of real Yenko VINs I've printed off of the internet....." Blah.

That Vette is stone cold awesome, however.

Think of it as an entry level Yenko I guess...doubt anyone would leave it like that. This is definitely one of THE Corvettes to own...but man it's gonna be expensive.

To board members knowledge...is this the lowest mileage, best conditioned, documented '67 427/435 that is in known private hands at this time ?

Nope.....
There's one out there with a little over 1,000 miles on it.

But this one is a nice one.

Just looking at the pictures of the suspension and engine details gives me chills thinking that it is so original.

Car was owned by local Austin, TX collector Bruce Knierim in the mid 80's. I saw it a number of times locally. It brought nearly $40,000 when he sold it about 20 years ago.
It was a special car then, that was top dollar.

Toyvet,

------TimG's 67 400/427 green roadster has a few more miles but is a better car in my opinion and I know both these cars pretty well. Please dont get me wrong, as its only by a point or two at most. Pauls car is a piece of artwork. Up at this level I think its more about how the car was treated very early in its life that makes the difference, and Tims car was absolutely pampered from the day it was delivered. Many years ago (circa 1980/2) a friend of mine in Chicago called me about this car possibly being for sale. Upon arriving at the original owners house we spent about 20 minutes unwrapping the car before we could see it. It was a dry winter day and he wouldnt roll the car out of the garage for us to look at it because he said it was cold. The owner then decided he just couldnt sell it and we went home very disappointed!
------It was many years later before he did sell the car and after a few careful owners in the middle Tim is now the caretaker. You guys should see it (spectacular)!!!!.........Bill S
------P.S. Im sure Roger Judski (owner of the L88) is real happy with the present values of 67 Vettes in general. Wonder what the 12 mile car is worth today?

Bill, thanks for the very kind words about my car. I think that the green car was the best one that Chris owned, still not sure why he sold it to me. I enjoy hearing stories about how John Palm had it stored and pampered. I'm not real familiar with the blue car anymore, I was wondering how it compared to my car. Thanks for the update.
