Default Re: '70 chevelle upper control arm shaft

Rob,
I had a '70 Chevelle Diamond Certified with the nut cross shaft and was told it was incorrect. This after the original owner confirmed there had been nothing ever done to the front end of the car. I was told by the judge that it was a common practice to replace the bolt in cross shaft with the nut style on race cars due to front end flexing and this compensated for it??? This car had 18,000 original miles and did not see that much drag service. I did what the judge recommended and will admit that I see 10 to 1 of the bolt in style.
