I just spoke to the person that owned this Yenko in the late '70's. He placed that ad in the early '80's. The car was very original at the time with only a repaint of its original Fathom Blue color and a gold pinstripe was added. He purchased the car in 75 or 76 from a local used car lot for $1900.00. He didn't recall what the YS# was. The car had the 140 speedometer, SS badging on the front grille and rear fuel cap and it also had the Pontiac rims with the "Y" centers which went with the car when he sold it. I asked if the car came out of Bresee and he said no as the original owner was from Pennsylvania and it somehow ended up in Syracuse. The car was sold to a collector in Texas who flew in and paid $10K cash in '81 or '82. He thought the car had sold within the past 10 years or so as someone had contacted him with questions about it. Does anybody know where it is now?

I believe I've spoken to him - if this was the car that eventually became the infamous 'One and Only on the Planet', anyone remember that little promo from years past?

You mean the only known 1968 COPO 427 Yenko Camaro?

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about? Are you referring to the give away car?
