Check December Muscle Car Review... [/ QUOTE ] I can read, but, you know how magazines can be. I'd rather get the details from the owner's mouth. |

Kevin,Mike The Magazine article is all wrong on My old Z28. I told Kevin that before and there is no proof of the car being built by jenkins! When I talked to him after I bought it,He mentioned that he and his kid rebuilt the engine in 72 after they blew it at atco. He never once said anything about jenkins building the car! He said the never had a chance to run it again. Then it sat for 15 years and the wife sold it to Harry Lutz,A local racer who was going to tub it and put in a automatic! He didnt have the heart and put it in a local trader mag and I bought it from him. I rebuilt the whole car from top to bottom and I made that car what it is today! And when the article says the motor hasnt been apart in years and nobody knows what in it is a joke.I built the engine in the car not jenkins. I know every part thats in it. One thing they got right is it is a running son of a bitch. Im sorry I sold it. Mike Wilkenson [aka dajudge]who I sold the car to is going to post the pics I gave him of me restoring the car. Tune In! I hope nobody gets upset over this but the truth should be known.
Kevin,If you want the pics I have I will make copys for you if you ever need them. I dont believe anything mags say about cars anymore after the article.

Uh.. OK, you guys are talking about this car from the cover of MCR and posted about in SYC Members in Print on the third page?
I just let my Super Chevy mag subscription run out, since it wasn't doing much for me any more and I mainly hunt and pic for good car mags at the stores anyway. That car and story were neat, but it's all crap? Maybe I should dump HR and wait for you guys to screen the others mags every month before I even look at them. Great, Now I'm having flashbacks of '75 Z28s for sale in the swapsheet and a could have been movie about a Shelby Nova! |
