Default Re: Fencl Tufo Chevrolet Hi Performance Vin Numbers

No, they were also two different dealers but close in proximity to each other. When Dick Fencl closed GM closed the point all together. The same situation with Brigance which closed I believe February 16th 1975. There has never been another Chevy dealership in Oak Park since which is suprising because the area is so affluent. The town has a population of 50,000+ people with a median income of 63,000 and an average home price of 275K.

Fencl Tufo closed in 1988-89 due to bad business practices. Rumor has it that John Tufo had a bad gambling problem. The dealership became Quality Chevrolet for a short time then is now called Sunrise Chevrolet.
