Marlin, there are two drag strips sorta close to Marion. There's one at Muncie and there is one at Bunker Hill. As far as I know they're still in operation. There use ta be a 1/8 mile strip at Avilla also but it's gone now. I set my first IHRA record at Avilla with a 57 Chevy 150 two door sedan, 220 hp with a three speed trans. 8.97 seconds @ 75.630 mph. Always did like that track.

You should spend some time at Bunker Hill dragway, there's supposed to be a '69 Yenko Nova still racing there that was sold new out of Nankivell Chev. in Indianapolis
 Take the vin list with you.
