Rick,is there a book or handout published a person can buy to decode the small letters next to the month...I would like to read all the info out there on the subject and get up to speed on the different codes... Thnx Bud. |

Hey Bud,
I believe there is a decode key for SS wheels in the Camaro book by John Hooper. I have it at home I can check it later for you. Or maybe someone else has it handy right now...

Thnx...question if you were going to buy one book to cover codes and correct information on 67/69 Camaros is the Hooper book the one to have or is there a better one...?? most of my stuff is very old....

That one is great unfortunately it is out of print. But the Jerry MacNeish books on the 67-68 Z and the Definitive 69Z and SS396 book is excellent. I reference it all the time. Decoding key for almost every part. These books don't cover basic Camaros that much.
Also, the Chevrolet by the Numbers is supposed to be a very good book. That one I don't have.

I can probably find one around on e bay I guess...I want one that covers all the different models of the camaro and options etc....worth searching for???

I don't have anything that covers first gen completely. That 69 Camaro Hooper book and MacNeish book on the Z cover all I need.
Who has the Chevrolet By the Numbers Book!!?? Is it worth it? RICK! RICK! Somebody check his house and see if the Motion sign fell on him. ![]()
