Tim: Yes, your thinking follows the lines of my thoughts as well. I know with Ford, Chrysler & AMC, engine codes in VIN's for many years meant that factory documentation was not as critical, as it was for GM divisions during the "muscle car period". I too, believe that factory paperwork should bring the highest premium for the rarest of rare musclecar models.
