My notes say that the Forest Green 4speed deuce from Kidder Knoefler Chev. in Sioux City, Iowa 'centerpunched a tree within weeks of purchase'. This car was the 38th car produced, and was stock number YS-023.
So, although the M22 part is surely false, the deuce into a tree part could be true!

I bet the guy actually has the car. Auction was closed yesterday.
Marlin it could be simply a case of the people that own the car don't know the difference between M21 & M-22 gears. I hope the car surfaces. Would be very cool to hear the story! ![]()

I got an e-mail back from the seller saying that the car was sold new at a local Souix City dealer and that the car was sold to someone who they would not name.
It is only a matter of time before Marlin is contacted. Marlin PLEASE keep us up to date.

Certainly will!
Kidder Knoefler Chev. was in Sioux City, IA and sold at least 3 deuces. The other two are found, alive and well!

If the possibility of it being a true yenko holds up,why would you sell the mainshaft out of the tranny?!!That would be great if it were true and would renew my thoughts that not almost EVERYONE on ebay is a liar.If it is real please do not part it out!

If he center punched a tree, it's hard to say what's left. It may have shattered the main case. When I crashed my L78 nova, the only thing we salvaged out of the rear end was the ring, and pinion.
It may not look a lot better than the yellow ebay deuce, but, I'd sure like to see. |

He never said Deuce. How do we know it wasn't a 69 and he made a year error? Could a 69 Yenko Nova be had with a M22? I don't see why it couldn't since it started as a regular L78 SS.

I'm confused...was the car wrecked and sold years ago, or just recently?

I think it was wrecked years ago, but apparently recently sold - without an input shaft?
