I've been lead to believe that original/NOS ones have a date on the back. Can anyone confirm this?

The sudden flood of mats on the market by different sellers would lead me to believe they are a new re-pop item. Anyone can silkscreen a part number on them. Call some major camaro parts places and ask if they have the thick rubber mats.

Good idea. I like the used one the most. Hopefully the guy is telling the truth, that it came from a 69 camaro. This is starting to sound like the X-ram issues. Sam

I was contacted by my super secret CIA type source and informed..."The mats were sold by Econo-O-Mat and never remade. The ones sold by Camarogrrrrl and also JoParts (Parts Place) are authentic." also...."there are not very many of the 69's and not many more of the 67-68's " Econo-o-Mat made them up till the late 80's so what you might be getting is the mats made by the same supplier that made them for GM but maybe not made in 67-9.
Sounds like they are real and if you need one you might as well jump. |
