It really was a Defogger.
Dealer acc. catalog shows it was not to be considered a heating unit. It was simply a fan that directed interior air upwards onto the glass to eliminate condensation before it freezes. No Heat element used,so it wasn't very efficient at melting ice.Not like todays wire heating elements. ![]() |

My 69 Nova has the original C50 option rear defroster. (Only installed on 6,165 Novas in 1969) Cost as per my window sticker was $22.15.
