I'm not an expert on the SS350 cars but I'm surprised it doesn't have the Z28 style valve covers. I thought that was part of a dress up package and this car has a lot of options as a display car so I thought it would have them. Nice car Steve.

I've been keeping in touch with him and sending him updated photos. His daughter never forgave him for selling it. She's thrilled it's back in their life again, even though it has a new caretaker.

Steve is the dealer decal on the bumper a copy or original. I have an original from my dealer it is near exact. Also, is that the original location for the decal?

That's an original decal. The dealership is in something of a time warp. They still use the same decals and keyfobs from the 1960s. Here is a postcard from 1964 showing the dealership. It is the exact same today with the exception that it is now surrounding by tall office buildings.

The 350/300 engines never had the aluminum valve covers from the factory. Stamped steel only, though a lot of people put the Z28 valve covers on for looks.
