Default Re: Yenko Deuce Resto Details

[ QUOTE ]
This extra boot/bezel combination has been found on many of the 4speed Deuces. Our research indicates that Yenko installed them, but not consistently. The original GM boot/bezel is always underneath. It appears to be the same combination that was installed on the standard a/t shifter, the Autostick.

What about the aftermarket hurst shifter stick shown in the pic? Is it confirmed that Yenko put the hurst super boot over the existing factory boot, or could this just be something that owners did "day 2" style for the full "Hurst look" ? Seems odd that Don would spend an extra nickel to add a second shift boot.
