Depends on whether you're talking about Firebird or GTO.
With the GTO, Ram Air was standard with the 400 HO, hence the name Ram Air III (although I believe 400 HO Ram Air is the proper name). For the Firebird, Ram Air was optional with this engine but standard with the Trans Am.
