BTW, the BB trans crossmember was used with BB shifter rods, but the small block shifter attaching bracket - ie; no 1/2" offset on the bracket!

Thanks to all who have replied to this post. It is GREAT to get a little history of this car for my buddy.
Marlin/Camaro Joe, Do these cars use a Hurst? or a Muncie shifter? Actually my friend bought this car about 1 year ago from another Calgary guy who paid big money for this car. Yes it still has the original springs with the square lumps? It also still has the flowmaster exhaust, which is going. On another note did these cars use the crossflow muffler-aka- Camaro type? Marlin, You mention a B.B Trans crossmember and shifter rods, this car has a small block trans crossmember, which is correct? Also does any one know the driveshaft length? The shaft appears original, just want to know before i spend time and money detailing it and balancing the shaft. Thanks in Advance. |

I lived in Calgary from 1961 to 64. Nice City. I hear its a bit overcrowded now. I had a population of 260K then I think. Now its near or over 1 million. I bet ole Elbow drive or MCCleod Trail is a parking lot at 5pm huh. IN 69 I was a senior in HS in So Cal when I bought a new 69 Nova SS 396/375 4spd,Black on Black. Does anyone have some photos of these 69 Yenko 427s? Thanks Michael

rz, It's a Hurst shifter, yes they use the crossflow muffler setup with resonators. If you're going to change back to an M21 you'll need to change the drive shaft yoke. M22s are different ie; bigger output shaft. I kinda like the M22 in mine. Nice whine Schonye
