I don't think it's the PVC hose bracket, that one is straight with a loop at the end. I've never seen that fuel line bracket, nor the shield under the cap, on any of the Deuces. Interesting items though!

![]() Jack Seymour reported..... "The guy works with my brother and he was telling him he was a original owner of a 70 Camaro. My brother told him I was really into them and said he was sure I would love to see the car. Weeks went by and I was pushing just to see it, I was trying to get my brother to dig for details on the car. But the guy didn't even really know what he had, told us it was a SS 350 with the LT1 motor, I said WHAT, asked if it had stripes and split bumpers he said ya, so I new it had to be a 70 Z28 so now I'm pushing hard to see it,he also said he may be intrested in selling it because he was tired of it taking up room in the garage. I finally saw the car I was a little disappointed when I first saw the car, it had about a inch of dust on it vinyl top and no RS (darn) The more I looked the more I liked, to make a long story short, I bought the car after a little dealing. Sense I've had it home it just seems to be a better find all the time. even though there are a few thing missing, including the TCS clip. I just couldn't pass it up knowing there just can't be to many original owner cars out there. Thanks to everyone for the support and maybe I'll have it ready for Carlisle next year. ![]() ![]() ![]()

The distributor shield should be in the Deuces since they used the same dist part #. How often do you see a LS6 dist with the shields? From what I hear, not often.
![]() Could be that the shields weren't used all year, but I doubt that. Dist part # would have changed.

Marlin, see if Tommy K has a shield in his distributor on the Wallace car. Mine does not.

I bought one of those distributors for my Nova years ago from a Corvette guy. It was the right part # and date with that shield in it. It was the first I ever saw one of those. I was told it was Corvette only and was to help with the radio interferance.

[/ QUOTE ] Kurt, per the blueprints, all 1111437 (LS6) distributors were to be delivered with the shields installed. As a mechanic back in the late 70's and early 80's, I recall this being one of the VERY first things that got tossed the first time the distributor cap came off the car. I agree however, it is not often you still see any installed on cars today.

I owned a survivor 1970 Z (18K miles) and it did have the shields as well. The first thing I did was take them off and put them in the glove box.

I checked out my Wallace car and it does not have a shield in the distributor.
