Celebrating the first day of Spring 2010! I have only been working on this car for 23 seasons.

I just got back from my first actual drive of the car in six years!!! Prior to today the only drive I ever took it on was the original test run around the block when I bought it on 11/11/2004.

I buckled my 9 yr old son in the passenger seat and we snuck the car out and drove it around the neighborhood for about 4 miles, through all 4 gears and all 4 barrels.

I dont know what all this hoopla is about the M22 rockcrusher making whining noises. It is relatively silent compared to the industrial, cast iron, A-833 four-speed in my Charger.

The T/A does have a bit of pep, I must say.

As usual, my boy interupted my enjoyable, celebratory test drive with his sarcastic: "That's enough speedy-fast, Dad. Let's go home and throw the baseball around"

Kids. They just don't appreciate good fun!

Here's the offspring about 5 years ago (or as the boy says: "When I was a kid") installing the body on the subframe.

It's all about the journey and the experience. Soon another begins or perhaps it has already started. Great work.

Couldn't wait any longer. After staring at that refinished steering wheel in my clothes closet for years now, I finally installed it this afternoon.

Now the back half of the car is finished, and the middle half of the car is finished. Just need the front half finished and I am finally finished with all three halfs of this Cecil B. Demille production.

(P.S. You know what they say: 90% of people can't do basic arithmatic...and the other half can't spell either.)

Steve, isn't it great to pull pre-finished parts out and install them! Talk about instant gratification! Nice!
