Isn't that a sign of the Apocalypse? - your car getting finished before mine?

Hah! But it is not the SS that I had for 25+ years, its the other one I 've have for 8 (with 3 years in the body shop!) The cars name is Jinx because of all the problems it had and caused.

Steve, good call on mocking up the window trim before paint. Have seen so many otherwise awesome cars with weird gaps/interferenes between the window trim and body.

Attention to detail is what separates the awesome, from the run-of-the-mill restorations!

Yeah, maybe one of these years I'll be able to trial fit my own body behind the steering wheel to see if it still fits.

Some progress from this week. The full body is in primer. He spent some more time finishing the rear wheel well edges recently, back to their original bad, wrinkly, spot-welded finish. I wasn't too happy with the initial way they looked - they were too perfect.

Now the car has to sit a few days to cure and then more block sanding and then sealing and paint (hopefully, soon).

Once she's in paint she will go much quicker... body work takes the time it takes...

Boy am i glad my 70 TA Ram Air IV is done. The most expensive resto i have ever done. So many 1 year only parts you wouldn't believe. On top of that a California car, only 24 made with Ca. emissions, imagine finding those parts, Hard and costly!
