Just wandering what the board members think about the 1969 RAIV Firebird converts?. Only 17 made, only 7 have surfaced so far!

It's interesting to note that only 3 stick shift Judge verts were built in 71. Prior to 71 high perf Pontiacs were predominately sticks. Low compression and more automatics fortold the future for even the one GM company that tried to keep performance alive. And yes gtaa9 he does own one.

Eric,
I think you've posted about this before? Wasn't there a thread started by you on RAIV Birds? Just going off memory. No offense, but it might be better to post and be direct, like "I own one of the 17 RAIV Firebird converts - what do you guys think of these?" .Looks less like a thinkly veiled advertisement. Again, JMHO - which I have been told isn't worth much. At least at my house.

Happy holidays.

Colin

Colin, I'm glad my posts keep you on your toes, car business slow? As far as my car, yes, I do have a 69 loaded RAIV/4spd bird convert, as I posted in a previous thread. As far as your meaning on the "thinkly veiled" advertisemnet, it is not for sale, if that's what you eluded to. I'm glad my posts are so interesting.
To the rest of the site, just wanted to know what your guys thoughts were, as alot of you are into the 69 Camaros.
Colin, be sure, if anyone out there wants to know any details of my car collection they'll know who to ask.
Happy Holidays to you too.

Thank you very much. I really like the 69 birds. I got this one from a friend, who found it way up in northern Ontario.

Just go ahead and get it out of the way, list your cars.

And if there is a list similar to the 71 Judge Rags; on the IV birds your talking about, please post it. I would like to see what kind of a challenge there is in tracking the rest down.

Hi, there are seven 69 raiv/4spd converts out there. These cars are quite elusive.

Yes, 17 total 12 sticks & 5 autos made only. What makes these cars so special, is the 69 TA converts were all RAIIIs, no IVs made. So, if you want a ragtop RAIV bird, the firebird was it. The specs on my car: silver/black deluxe, remote mirror, hood tach, gauges, clock, ralleys, ps/pb, pwr top, pwr ant.
So far the #, 7 found, is correct: 3 blue, 1 silver, 1 green-all sticks, 1 yellow, 1 brown -autos. As far as I know, 1 is a frame off, a real nice blue one in Atlanta. If anymore have been discovered, please share with board.
