If it was a fully restored, high #2 condition car with documentation, you'd be hard pressed to get $20K out of it, so go from there. If it was a documented L72 car, it would bring a bit more, but those are few & far between. I owned a 69 Impala convertible for 18 years and did a frame-off on it. Many parts are hard to come by.

Thanks guys, I'll try to drive by it again and see if the owner will let me take some pics. If I want to pass on it (probably so) I'll post it and you guys can see if you want to give it a go. I don't know a thing about these cars but a good website for them is at www.Impalass427.com

These are cool big cars....if it 's an easy restoration it would be a ball to own and drive...

Ive restored a few of them and they cost more to restore than they are worth. all the parts like bumpers,wheel mouldings,trim,sheetmetal is expensive because nothing is reproduced. unless its a 425hp car,buy a nice one instead!
