Description
We are trying to track down the new owner of a 1968 Corvette Bronze Camaro SS that sold at the Barrett Jackson auto auction this past weekend in Phoenix, AZ. The Camaro was represented as an original L89 car. If anyone knows who the new owner is, please contact us at Camaro Hi-Performance. We have some valuable information for you.

Thanks,

-------Believe it or not, this is the first time I have gone thru this thread. Big thanks to Xplant, of course. Its only a minor glitch at this point but the two Autumn Gold LS6s were switched. Mine was the one outside without the vinyl top. Due to all the extra cars that were jammed in front of mine (all the .1,.2,.3 cars), my primetime 6:30 selling time turned into 10:30 and everyone had left. It looked like a wasteland out there when I came up on the block and the final bid reflected that. Car only reached $75,000. I was and am very disappointed as the vinyl top car was nowhere near as nicely detailed and an automatic and brought nearly $10,000 more because of the better time it had on Saturday. Thats the game you elect to play when you sign up, however and buyer was an extremely nice guy. Am in the middle of another sale to him now. Sorry we didnt get to talk, Xplant as I would liked to have met you..........Bill S

Bill,

I went up to the guy under the tent...and asked him if he was a member of Yenko.net...boy did I get a weird response!

I don't remember if I took pictures if your car, too! I think I did. Both cars were cool.

I twould have been great to meet you, also. I dont blame you for taking this long to go through the entire post...there are a lot of pictures there!

Hopefully we can hook up in the future, Bill!

Moderators...is there any way now to switch the information about Bill's car to the correct photos?

Bill, good to finally meet you. Your car was amazing and I enjoyed seeing it. We were all waiting for it to go through on Friday evening (almost Saturday morning). I figured that you had a prime time spot, also.

Racer...

You know who bought this car don't you?

None other than Craig Jackson himself...he drove it in Sonoma this June for the Wine Country Classics and I asked him if he was the one who had bought it and he confirmed he did.
Interesting sale...
