Default Aussie GTO gets LS2

Our GTO, which is part of our Holden Special Vehicle range, has just got a 297Kw LS2, as have the rest of the HSV range.

On display at the motor show, will drop in and see it next week.

Default Re: Aussie GTO gets LS2

Collared one of HSV's guys last night at the Sydney Motor show, he seemed releived to talk to a engine guy rather than the dreamers.
He has had our GTO (HSV Monaro) at 5.1 for 0 to 100 kls
(0 to 6.20 mile )and 13.3 for the quarter not set on a drag strip, ie no nice sticky launch pad, so these numbers are capable of street reproduction, and it was the AUTO, our manuals LS1s usually ran .3 to .4 faster.

And the news gets better for the future, but will leave that till later.

The other must have toy was a Ford Typhoon, a blown 4 ltre
straight six Falcon sedan at 270kw with 550 nms of torque from 2000 rpm up, with 500 nms at 1500 rpm.

Decisions, decisions.

When are you guys getting the LS2 in your GTOs ?????
