-------Wow!!!...It stated that there were 63 Sebring credentials. I was a snot-nosed 16 year old that year and was lucky enough to be standing in Dons pit at Sebring for the start. I kind of snuck in the back. I was a friend of the head pit stewards girlfriend. Pit steward was a guy named Tex Ashe, I believe.
-------A very healthy blonde with a pink jump-suit asked me if I could hold her on the wall during the last couple of seconds before the start. I was so mesmerized by her that I almost missed everyone running across to thier cars. Had a school-boys crush on Donna Mae for quite awhile after that.........Bill S
