Now here is another one. It's not a high dollar super car but I find the numbers on this a little strange. Although the VIN is in the build date range compare the VIN with the cowl tag code for the car.
They are claiming numbers matching. Am I missing something? Are convertibles tag differently? ![]() I would question this one as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...20369&rd=1 Rick H. |

69 trim tags don't use the third digit to identify 6 cyl vs 8 cyl so there is nothing wrong with the trim tag on the 6 cyl convertible.

I looked at the broach marks on the 50K Z and wonder why they look wrong to you? Maby my computer is not as clear. I understand on the trans, it looks a little deep stampted.

Roger, I think it's over 100k now. Did Yenko only make 5 ZL-1 motors or did I misunderstand the ad? I thought there were quite a few Yenko crested ZL-1 blocks out there per old threads on this site. ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Brent you are right, not sure what is special about this block that makes it one of 5, but Yenko made it with the name embossed, with the crest, in Can Am size or from the original Zl-1 dyes but without dates and numbers. Made em for years. This guy is just another case of information pollution. |

I thought i might add my 2 cents worth since i have a Yenko block , that one appears to be one of the marine blocks that everyone thought mine was . I dont have his picture in front of me but i dont recall it having a crest , i believe he also stated it had a marine cam and was a standard 427 bore. From all of the info i have found they were made in several different configurations ,Marine , Can-Am , Sprint , Drag Racing , Grand Prix ,and Stock Cars , some had steel liners others did not . Cubic inch ran from 427 to 498 .
