Default Re: 1970 Charger R/T Questions

As an additional follow up to the 440/375H.P Magnum Engine, my original question assumed we were only talking about the 440 or 383 Magnum engines (1 4bbl), not trips, 2 bbls. or pass, 4bbl engines. Another words the Magnum 440 or 383 engines as came in Roadrunners, R/T's, etc. I have learned a little since 1971 when I first looked at a 1969, 396 Nova SS which I initially thought had an aftermarket aluminum intake and a Holley carb. I learned at that time that Chevy produced this motor "L-78" and purchased the car with my 1962 Impala 2dr. hardtop 327/250 (small Rochester 4bbl carb)in trade. I still have great memories of the Nova 30 years after I sold it for $1500 in 1974, in excellent condition. In reguard to the power drum brakes on this Charger, it appears this set up is probably very rare. Why someone would opt for power drum brakes and not go the extra mile for power disc brakes is curious.

thanks for your help, Rick
