[ QUOTE ]
I am thrilled Tom and Rob let me bring both cars. [/ QUOTE ] Nothin' personal against Tom and Rob but somehow I think the general membership would have overuled these two if they declined your offer to bring them. ![]() I too am looking very forward to seeing these cars. I was not coming this year due to commitments but because of what the showfield was/is doing, I realized that would be a fatal mistake. |

Very cool car and story! I've always been interested in military history, especially SF,SOG,etc. operations in SE Asia. Do you mind if I ask what year(s) you were there? Dan

Camarojoe and Hvychev,
I bought my first 69 Yenko from Bob Johnson in Wausaw Wis. A LeMans blue 4 -speed. I had it for a couple of months and had a valve spring break. It dropped a valve and mushroomed the piston and cracked the cylinder wall. It needed a new block and head. It had only a few thousand miles on it. Unfortunately there was a big truck strike and nobody could get parts. I was told 2-4 months to repair. Uncle Sam had tapped me and I knew I would be leaving soon so I asked Bob Johnson to get me another one. I traded the first one in and then got the second both from Bob Johnson. I had the second Yenko a couple weeks before I had to leave. As it turns out I lost track of the first one. It was not untill I saw the listing on Ed. C copo site that I ran across it again. I have the bill of sale, all the paperwork, window sticker etc, for that car, including the work order for the blown motor. I heard it did take 3 months to get it fixed. I mentioned to Ed C. that I had all the original paperwork and would give it to the owner. Ed contacted the owner who said he has sold the car. Once it surfaces again I will get all the paperwork to the new owner via Ed. The second Yenko, I was told when I picked it up that Bob Johnson pulled it from another dealer. Told me my time line was to short. Again when I found Ed C's copo site I found my Yenko but it was listed as sold from another dealer. All my paperwork is from Bob Johnson. When I get time I will use Ed C's talent and knowledge to straighten it all out. I did buy both Yenko's new. |

I have a Yenko Camaro from Bob Johnson as well. Too bad it's Fathom Green or I'd be calling you for paperwork.

I agree Frank...cool cars in all quadrants, and a bunch of good people.
Oh, BTW...did you ever get that bottle hid under the spare tire with the hose weaved under the sill, thru the firewall that you were telling me about yesterday? ![]() |
