Iam just going by what i was told by a fellow deuce owner.Any car is worth what the buyer is willing to pay(my opinion), and that car was (i believe) one of the best i ever saw. I believe if there was a deuce that deserves high dollar that was the car(awesome car mark)

I don't think Mark is gloating, I think he was just discounting the $107K number as a flakes-bidding-on-ebay-based rumor. It sounds to me like the real number was less.
It is pretty funny how it was just a few years ago that Jim (NWYenko) bought that red Deuce at B-J, then couldn't get high $20's for it after he upgraded to the blue Deuce. My how things have changed.... |

Sean, SORRY for being so "DEFENSIVE" but that isn't the Price I Paid and I just was wondering where that latest price came from. I think the YENKO NOVA prices have been too low and what with the prices of the YENKO CAMARO's and CHEVELLE'S that the NOVA'S prices had to Rise. You don't really see any YENKO NOVA's come up for sale very often.

A first hand observation; I've met Mr Hassett, and he is a very nice person. Doesn't deserve any grief. I've know that car from the time Dave Belk brought it home. One of the very best out there. Over the week end in both Monmouth, and Laharpe, I had people walking by the deuces that we had there. Usually the first thing out of their mouth was, wow one of these sold for 110,000 dollars on ebay the other day. I don't know what Mr Hassett paid for the car, nor is it any of my business, but the world seems to think it was that number. The bar has now been raised on deuce prices. That's good if you have one, and wanting to sell.(I'm not) It will make it harder for the Frank Magallons, and Joey Barrs looking for an affordable one.
Again, I mean no harm to anyone with this discussion, but 1, the people who stopped and talked with us believe that number to be true, and 2, it has most certainly affected the prices. Schonye |

Everybody should relax. I do not see where Mark H is getting bashed. Outside the world of this website there are millions of people and those that had been keeping track of that e-bay auction think that the car sold for 109K. There was no relist of the auction or update that was pubicly released that said "mysteriously" only after one or two days that the top bidder did not contact the seller and the car was sold to Mark. I had my Deuce at Super Chevy this past weekend and a cruise night tonight and you would not believe how many people came up to me and said "hey did you see the one that sold on e-bay for 109K?" Since that was what the selling price was on e-bay that is what all the involved parties must get used to people outside of here thinking the car sold for.
